Meet Dr. Shayla Hartz
A thoughtful approach to chiropractic care, recovery, and long-term health.
Why I started Hartz Chiropractic
After years of working in high-volume practice settings, I realized that the type of care I wanted to provide required something different. I wanted the ability to spend more time listening, evaluating, and creating treatment plans that reflected the individual sitting in front of me—not a predetermined protocol.
Hartz Chiropractic was built around that belief. My goal is to provide thoughtful, personalized care that helps patients better understand their bodies, move with confidence, and continue doing the things they love.
My Philosophy
I don't believe every patient should receive the same treatment simply because they share a diagnosis. Every recommendation is based on your goals, examination findings, lifestyle, response to care, and what your body needs at that point in time.
Whether care includes chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, shockwave therapy, mobility-focused treatment, or recovery strategies, the goal remains the same: helping you move and feel your best through care that is thoughtful, adaptable, and designed around you.

Beyond The Office
Although I now call South Orange County home, I grew up in South Dakota, where hard work, community, and helping others were values that were ingrained in me from an early age. Those values continue to shape both my life and the way I care for patients today.
Outside of the office, I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and taking advantage of everything that makes coastal California so special. Whether it's exploring local trails, spending time near the water, working out, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, movement has always been an important part of my life.
That perspective influences the way I practice. I understand how frustrating it can be when pain, injuries, or physical limitations interfere with the activities that bring you joy. My goal is to help patients move with greater confidence, stay active, and continue doing the things they love for years to come.
